Safety on Partner4Me

Last updated

Here is exactly what Partner4Me does about safety, and exactly what it does not do. Nothing on this page is aspirational.

Before a booking

  • Partner review. Partners submit identity documents, and our operations team reviews them internally before a profile can be discovered. This is a document review by Partner4Me staff. It is not government identity verification, and it is not a criminal background check. We do not use the word "verified" to mean more than it does.
  • A profile shows no contact details. No Partner's phone number, email address or home address appears anywhere on this website or in the app, to anyone. The finest location we hold is a PIN code area a Partner chooses to work in.
  • Scope is agreed up front. Service, place type, start time, duration and price are frozen in the quote before the booking is confirmed.

During a booking

  • Chat stays in the app. It is timestamped and our operations team can read it when a report is raised. Off-platform contact is a Code of Conduct breach precisely because it destroys that record.
  • Meet in public. Bookings are for public venues and public activities.
  • Either side can end it. A Partner may end a booking that moves outside what was agreed; a Client may end a booking at any point. The Refund Policy handles the money.
  • Emergency contacts. You can store emergency contacts on your account for our operations team to use if an incident is raised.

What the SOS button actually does

Pressing SOS in the app raises a high-priority safety incident with the Partner4Me operations team, attached to your booking, and pages the on-duty operations staff. A human picks it up and works it, and every action taken on the incident is recorded.

SOS does not contact the police, an ambulance, or any emergency service, and it does not dispatch anyone to your location. We have no such integration, and we would rather say so here than let you rely on something that does not exist.

If you are in immediate danger, call the emergency services first. Then press SOS so our team has the record and can help with everything that follows.

After a booking

  • Report from the booking. Reports and safety incidents are triaged ahead of ordinary support tickets.
  • Block. Blocking someone stops them appearing to you and stops any new booking between you.
  • Reviews are moderated. A review used as leverage over a refund, or one that is about appearance rather than the service, is removed.

What we are still building

Realtime chat delivery, a live payment gateway and native push notifications are in progress. Where a capability is not live yet, the app says so rather than implying it works.
